Book Your Family Retreat in Cabin 2
Cabin 2 is a wonderful option for family reunions, church retreats, and other large groups. While it is larger than our first cabin, it still has that quaint, homey feel to it.
Cabin 2 Amenities
You can relax in comfort while still enjoying plenty of privacy in this cabin. Cabin 2 has five bedrooms which include a king bed in the master bedroom, three bedrooms that each have one queen bed, and a final bedroom with four full beds. The fully-furnished kitchen includes a range, oven, refrigerator, cookware, dinnerware, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, and mixer. Complementing the kitchen is a dining table that seats eight, and also three barstool seats.
Our cabins are decorated with family collectibles and area crafts. The living room is comfortably furnished with two Italian leather sofas and a loveseat. Smart TVs, Dish network and WIFI help keep you connected. Due to our remote location there is a phone in the cabin for your convenience (local calls only). There are two full baths in the cabin, one with a Jacuzzi tub and shower; the second has a regular tub and shower. If you prefer to cook outside, there is a large charcoal grill and campfire pit outside.
The view from your covered, wrap around porch is spectacular. You can see the mountains and valleys located on our property, along with the impressive Roark Bluff at the Steel Creek Campground. You can relax on the porch swing, watch the fog roll in, or keep an eye on the wildlife that abounds in this area.
This cabin is very dear to our family. It was my grandparents' home for the latter part of their lives. We named it Cabin #2, but it is affectionately known as "Granny's Cabin."

Peak Season (March-Nov): $255/night
Off Season (Dec-Feb): $215/night
- All rates are based on 2 adults and 2 preteens (each additional person is $15). Prices are subject to sales tax.
- We require a two night minimum stay and a three night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
- Late check-outs will result in a charge beginning at $100.
- Book 6 nights, and get $200 off your stay.
- There will be an extra cleaning fee of $100 if there is evidence of smoking or of pets inside the cabins.
Rules
- No campers or RVs permitted.
- No smoking. All of our cabins are smoke free. We gladly provide guests with ashtrays and receptacles outside on our covered porches. There will be an extra cleaning fee of $100 if there is evidence of smoking inside the cabins.
- No pets. There will be an extra cleaning fee of $100 if there is evidence of pets inside the cabins.
- No ATVs.
Payment and Reservations
Upon booking your reservation, we require a valid credit card to hold the reservation and for the $200 deposit payment. We accept Visa & Master Card.
Cancellation Policy: Due to our remote location, cancellations affect us greatly. If cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be applied to a future reservation to be scheduled within 12 months of original arrival date with a $25 rescheduling fee. If the cancellation is made less than 21 days until scheduled arrival, the full payment is due.
You will receive a confirmation letter detailing your booking. Please review it carefully for accuracy. If all the reservation information is in order, and you agree to the terms/policy, please sign the confirmation and return it to us by mail.
Code of Conduct
We request that during your stay, you remember that our cabins are for future guests, as well. We know accidents happen, but please let us know if something is damaged before you checkout, otherwise the cost to replace or repair items will be billed to you. Please do not harm or destroy any property or landscape, or move and relocate the furniture inside the cabin. These types of repairs and maintenance are not only costly, but result in down time that can affect other guests’ reservations. We will seek monetary compensation for lost revenue when a forced cancellation or repair is a direct result of vandalism or other mischief. We also request that our furnishings (bed & bath linens, and kitchen supplies) remain inside the cabin, otherwise you will incur charges to replace what is damaged or missing. We also appreciate your forthrightness with the number of guests in your group. If someone extra joins you, just let us know, and we can take care of it. We want to continue to make your check-in as convenient as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.
